1. System Requirements

PayPal Shop Maker

Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista

PayPal Shop Maker requires the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) and Microsoft Jet 4.0 database engine. You already have these components if your system is running Windows 2000 (or later) or have Access 2000 (or later) installed. However, it is recommended that you download the latest version:

PayPal Shop Maker also requires a few other system files. If you do not have latest version of these files (usually Windows 98 users), you may experience ActiveX errors while running PayPal Shop Maker. To update your system, go the Microsoft download pages listed below. If you are not already using IE 6.0 or later, it is recommended to install it first as it includes most if not all of the required files.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later
Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0: Run-Time Redistribution Pack (vbrun60sp6.exe)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows 2000)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows XP)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows Server 2003)
MSXML Parser 3.0
DCOM98 for Windows 98, version 1.3 (Windows 98 only)

Server

Any Windows or Unix/Linux server with Web server (for HTML Web pages)
Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 with IIS (Only required if ASP is used. Non-IIS Web server for ASP is not supported.)
Windows or Unix/Linux server with PHP (>=4.1.0) and MySQL support (Only required if PHP is used)

Client

Newer browsers (e.g. IE5+, NS6+, FF1+) with JavaScript enabled

2. Installation

Important: Before you install PayPal Shop Maker, you should:

Log in Windows as an user with administrative privileges
Turn off all antivirus or security softwares temporarily
Check the system requirements and make sure the required components are already installed.
Uninstall previous version, if exist

Double-click on the downloaded executable to start the installation process. Follow the prompts and change the settings whenever necessary.
