Installation Instructions
Important Notes: (Please read carefully before installation.)
1. System Requirements
PHPMaker
- Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7
PHPMaker requires a few other system files. If you do not have latest version of these files, you may experience ActiveX errors. To update your system, go the Microsoft download pages listed below.
If you use Microsoft Access or SQL Server, PHPMaker requires the following database drivers:
Server
- Linux/Unix (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or Windows (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Access/MSSQL) web server
- PHP 4 (>= 4.1.0) with libxml enabled or PHP 5
2. Installation
Important: Before you install PHPMaker, you must be logged in as a user with administrative privileges.
Note for Windows Vista (or later) users: In Windows Vista (or later), User Account Control (UAC) and its Admin Approval Mode are enabled by default. When UAC is enabled, local administrator accounts run as standard user accounts. This means that when a member of the local Administrators group logs on, they run with their administrative privileges disabled. When you install, a User Account Control prompt is displayed, click Continue to start the application and let the installer run elevated.
Note: PHPMaker 7 can co-exist with previous version of PHPMaker. You do NOT need to uninstall previous version of PHPMaker if you don't want to.
Double-click on the downloaded executable to start the installation process. Follow the prompts and change the settings whenever necessary.
Note about Data Execution Prevention
