Installation Instructions

Important Notes: (Please read carefully before installation.)

1. System Requirements

PHP Report Maker

Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista

PHP Report Maker requires a few other system files. If you do not have latest version of these files (usually Windows 98 users), you may experience ActiveX errors while running PHP Report Maker. To update your system, go the Microsoft download pages listed below. If you are not already using IE 6.0, it is recommended to install it first as it includes most if not all of the required files.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later
Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0: Run-Time Redistribution Pack (vbrun60sp6.exe)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows 2000)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows XP)
Microsoft Windows Script 5.7 (Windows Server 2003)
MSXML Parser 3.0
DCOM98 for Windows 98, version 1.3 (Windows 98 only)

Server

Linux/Unix or Windows Web server
PHP 4 (>= 4.1.0) or PHP 5
MySQL 3.21 or later, MySQL 4.x, MySQL 5.x

Browser

Adobe Flash Player 6 or later (optional, only required if the charting feature is used)

2. Installation

Important: Before you install PHP Report Maker, you should:

Log in Windows as an user with administrative privileges.
Turn off all antivirus or security softwares temporarily.
Check the system requirements and make sure the required components are already installed.
Uninstall previous version, if exist.

Double-click on the downloaded executable to start the installation process. Follow the prompts and change the settings whenever necessary.
